Ecotrust’s Rooftop Terrace in Portland is an intimate, beautiful space on a sunny evening. Sarah and Brian were married in August, with a golden sunset and a sapphire sky as they danced with their friends and family. Sarah has excellent taste, and created very personal, stylish details through the entire event.
Megan and Eric hosted a gorgeous, windswept and intimate wedding at the Silcox Hut in September. The Silcox Hut sits at 7,000 feet on the side of Mt. Hood, above Timberline Lodge and accessible via shuttle ride in the summer up a bumpy, dusty forestry road. We rode up with the groom and groomsmen, immediately staggered by the soaring view of not only Mt. Hood so close behind us, but Mt. Jefferson across the misty valley.
Melissa, in her sweeping ball gown, took everyone’s breath away at Waverley Country Club as she swept down the aisle to meet Steve. At the top of the aisle, the grin on Steve’s face was completely infectious: the entire guest list grinned right back at him (as did we, from our various vantages). It was a great moment, on a truly beautiful afternoon in October.
Morgan and Mark were married in a Lutheran church close to the University of Washington campus, then moved to the beautiful Mary Gates Hall for the reception.
On the last Saturday in September, Rachel & Chris were married the Mt. Hood Bed & Breakfast in Hood River, Oregon. The weather was perfect for a late summer day–warm with a stunning blue sky and light breeze.
The setting at Vine Hill Winery was absolutely perfect: soaring views, blue sky, green grass, wandering vines, a beautiful tasting room with skylights, and many corners fit for the prettiest photographs.
Sarika & Andrew had a fantastic week of wedding celebrations: a brief and intimate ceremony at the Multnomah County Courthouse, portraits on the Portland Waterfront, a marvelous henna party (with lots of Bollywood dancing), and a reception at the Portland Lan Su Classical Chinese Garden.
Laura and Jason chose the beautiful Octagonal Barn at the McMenamins Cornelius Pass Roadhouse for their wedding. Warm, inviting and colorful, the barn and its surrounding grounds provided an intimate space for a grand group of family and friends. Gladiolas and heaps of rainbow-colored dahlias adorned the tables, with word-nerd details like Scrabble tiles at the place settings. Jenna and I are also Scrabble fiends, and highly approved.
